We are Howard & Linda and we are full-time residents of The Villages®. Our goal is to make sure our fellow homeowners here have peace of mind when they are away. Your property is a valuable investment and we know how important it is to have someone knowledgeable and reliable looking out for it.
We have a rental property of our own and we also rent out our residence in peak season and other times that make sense for us.
We know what it is like to be absentee owners as we purchased our first house in The Villages® a few years before we moved into the community.
We used a Real Estate Company to manage our property while we were away living and traveling in our RV. And while they handled the mechanics of getting the property leased and rent collected, we never felt like they treated our tenants as special as we would have, and their communication with us was pretty bad. Plus they didn't do the spot checks on the property like they promised us.
We've run small businesses for years, and we know how to take care of customers. We also know that building trust is huge, and honesty and communication are keys to building a trusting, lasting relationship.
For what it's worth, we both have professional backgrounds and real estate experience.
We ran a real estate title company before we gave up our corporate jobs at age 41 (some might call it a mid-life crisis) to enjoy more of life through nature and travel in an RV. Howard was a real estate attorney with an accounting degree, and Linda was an operations manager and she also happens to have an interior design degree.
After 15 years of life on the road, in which we built the business RV-Dreams.com, we finally decided to settle down in The Villages (while still keeping the RV for vacation travel). That business focused on educating people about the RV lifestyle and eventually we started putting on our own conferences and rallies. We have done seminars at RV shows, and we also helped the shows with promotion through TV, radio, social media, and newspaper interviews.
Peace Home Watch is an exciting venture for us, and we look forward to meeting and working with more of our fellow Villagers. We're in our 50s, we're positive, happy people, and we still have a lot of energy.
